The LGA’s educational programs can be custom designed to meet the needs of primary and secondary students, youth groups, adult learners and others.

The LGA's environmental education programs are free to those within the Lake George watershed, and are supported by LGA members, grants and contributors. A small fee may be charged to schools or groups located outside of the Lake George watershed.

LGA's Educational Programs

  • Address the environmental issues that affect Lake George, its watershed and the Adirondacks
  • Empower and motivate students to become environmental stewards and to make a difference in their communities
  • Address NYS learning standards and curriculum
  • Publicly recognize groups that complete or help with service projects
Presentation topics:
  • The Lake George Association: what it is and what it does
  • What is a watershed
  • Invasive species
  • Native plants
  • Food webs
  • Stream health
  • Lake-friendly living
  • Have another topic in mind? We may be able to design it, or direct you to a professional who can.
