The LGA's educational programs aim to actively engage and motivate audiences of all ages in lake awareness and stewardship.

Over 1000 school children, residents and visitors board the LGA's Floating Classroom every summer for hands-on lessons about water quality and monitoring.

Outreach programs, field trips, presentations and activities are provided for schools, clubs, scouting groups, tourists, municipal leaders, homeowners associations, and others.  The LGA participates in events such as Adirondack Park Invasive Species Awareness Week, Waterfest and Envirothon.

The LGA also works with students to take their learning to the next level by providing opportunities for community involvement and service.  Some students may serve as volunteer monitors, while others work to fix or prevent a specific problem.

For more information about our education programs, please see the list to the left or e-mail Kristen Rohne, watershed educator, at info@lakegeorgeassociation.org.
