Gardening 

  • Use compost instead of chemical fertilizers. Compost is great for the soil and it will help to cut down on what needs to be brought to the landfill.

  • Make sure your garden is far enough away from the edge of the water to prevent runoff from entering the lake.

  • Use organic methods of pest control instead pesticides. (See also Recipes for a Healthy Garden)
