Lake George:

Lake George is spectacular! Serving as the southeastern gateway to the Adirondacks in Northeastern New York. At 32 miles in length, 1-3 miles wide, and dotted with over 170 islands, the Lake winds through the Adirondack Mountains. Lake George extends northward from Lake George Village to Ticonderoga, where it connects with Lake Champlain.

Lake George was the scene of numerous battles during the French and Indian War as well as during the American Revolution.
