LGA TO HOST PHOTOGRAPHER CARL HEILMAN AT CANOE ISLAND LODGE

Lake George, NY – The Lake George Association (LGA) will host a special event on Thursday, July 9th at Canoe Island Lodge in Diamond Point, to celebrate the upcoming release of photographer Carl Heilman’s upcoming book, Lake George.

The event will include a barbecue on Canoe Island at 6:00 p.m., followed by a slide presentation by Carl Heilman in the Tyrolean Room at Canoe Island Lodge at 7:30 p.m.

In the slide presentation, Heilman will share many of his beautiful images of Lake George, several of which will be included in his new book.

The barbecue dinner is $29.95 for adults and $15 for children. Dinner, which includes a boat ride out to Canoe Island, will be barbecued chicken, ribs, corn on the cob and more. Reservations are required for dinner and can be made by calling the LGA at (518) 668-3558.

No reservations are needed for the slide presentation, which is free of charge. Attendees can choose to attend the presentation at 7:30 p.m. only if they wish.

Carl Heilman II has been photographing the wilderness landscape since 1975, working to capture on film both the grandeur of these special places. His passion for spending as much time as possible in some of the wildest regions of the Adirondacks soon became a lifelong quest to create images that record the essence of a true wilderness experience.
