LGA GALA FLOURISHING IN TOUGH ECONOMIC TIMES
Lake George, NY – At a time when many organizations are canceling large fundraising events, the Lake George Association (LGA) sees its summer gala flourishing. The LGA “Summer Splash” will take place on Friday, July 17th at the Inn at Erlowest in Lake George.
Nancy Cobb-Zoll, LGA Director of Membership Development is excited by the buzz being created by this annual event.
“The community has really stepped up in terms of reservations, sponsorships and donated items for our silent and live auctions,” said Cobb-Zoll. “Cheryl Lamb is our event committee chair, and she deserves a lot of credit for the results that we are seeing.”
Walt Lender, LGA Executive Director, notes one particular trend that is particularly heartening: first time attendees.
“We are seeing new names on the reservation list,” said Lender. “People are hearing from friends and family that ours is the “must-attend” event of the summer.”
Cobb-Zoll believes this year’s gala to be the
best so far, especially regarding the outstanding auction items:
