Lake George Watershed Model

Directions:

Using a topographical map, determine the watershed boundary of Lake George. Teachers may want to go over Mapping Exercise 2 (in Lesson Plans) with students before this activity - to learn to delineate a watershed. Draw a line connecting the highest points in elevation. This is your boundary.

Now, using that as a guideline, create a 3-dimensional model of the Lake George watershed. Include the lake, mountains, streams, ponds. You may choose to include major roads.
