The Jefferson Project at Lake George: 10 Years of Breakthroughs for Lasting Lake Protection

In 2013, an unprecedented partnership was formed in the pursuit of protecting Lake George. Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, IBM, and the Lake George Association (then The FUND for Lake George) joined forces to combine state-of-the-art technologies with scientific research for deeper understanding of threats to water quality. The objective: Inform solutions and advocacy for sustained Lake protection. Now in our tenth year, The Jefferson Project issues this anniversary report to commemorate what we have learned and guide what we must do to keep Lake George — and any freshwater body — clear and clean.
